Bryan Chavis is a best-selling author and international speaker, apartment syndicator, and consultant. He has spent the last two decades building successful real estate ventures while running two businesses.
Bryan currently runs two types of businesses intimately tied to real estate. First, the Multifamily Matrix Membership: a membership-based platform that awards industry award-winning in-demand certifications for tool resources, as well as Coaching and Mentoring and Consulting programs. Second, the Chavis Capital Multifamily Real Estate Fund: a real estate fund focused on providing its investors with stability and strong returns by building on expertise in multifamily operations.
The Multifamily Matrix Membership has created recognized property management certifications in the real estate industry. Over 50,000 owners, asset and property managers, as well as public housing authorities have worked to receive it.
It was possibly a fortuitous fact of life that motivated Bryan to work in the real estate and coaching industries. As a special education student, he struggled through school and focused on his skills in basketball to get through.
“Truthfully everything is the biggest challenge when starting a business. No money, no experience, no exposure to what it took to be a successful entrepreneur.” Bryan shares. “It was all hard and little would I know that I would have a brain tumor and everything would get worse!”
Through his work as an active investor, property manager and international public speaker, Bryan has also fascinated large audiences across the country. His best-selling books, Buy It, Rent It, Profit! and The Landlord Entrepreneur, are considered essential guides for investors looking to build lasting wealth through multifamily real estate and property management.
Bryan believes that having a good mindset is one of the key disciplines necessary along with faith in order to start your own business. He also thinks that fear is a necessary adversary and that without it people would not advance out of their comfort zones.
“My advice for those trying to start their own business is: Don’t start your own business if you lack discipline and are not willing to explore your faith. And don’t quit your day job just because you think you have the next big idea, work at your day job until you can make your side business a full time thing. And one last thing I would suggest is to understand the principles of the 5 laws of gold.” Bryan states.
He shares the tools landlord entrepreneurs need to thrive in the real estate industry in “Buy The Block with Bryan Chavis,” a podcast available on all platforms.
For Bryan, financial freedom means being blessed to bless others. This is part of why he believes his story is what differentiates him from his competition in crowded industries like real estate, coaching and public speaking.
In the future, Bryan’s next projects include launching his first major real estate fund and putting together his first “Buy it. Rent it. Profit.” Live education conference. He is also working on creating an education membership website along the Multifamily Matrix.
